Iranian composer and bassoonist Alireza Motevaseli served as Guest Conductor of the Rasaneh Honar Orchestra in April 2025, leading a diverse program that showcased both classical and contemporary repertoire. The concert was held at Honar Palace in Tehran and organized by the Aleph Foundation, an NGO dedicated to promoting cultural and artistic initiatives.

The program included:

  • Holberg Suite, Op. 40 – Edvard Grieg
  • Two Elegiac Pieces – Edvard Grieg
  • Romance – Jean Sibelius
  • Concerto for Flute in G minor, RV 439 – Antonio Vivaldi, with Mona Taherian as soloist
  • Chaconne in G minor – Tomaso Antonio Vitali, arranged by Ottorino Respighi
  • Respighi for Violin and Orchestra, with Maryam Madani as soloist

Under Motevaseli’s direction, the orchestra emphasized musical precision, expressive depth, and stylistic authenticity. Collaborations with soloists Mona Taherian and Maryam Madani added further brilliance to the performance.
